  • Become whole and holy people as they prepare to transform the lives of others
  • Earn an accredited degree that is grounded in Scripture and focused on following Christ
  • Attend flexible online or evening and weekend classes that fit their busy schedules
  • Gain hands-on ministry leadership experience through guided internships tailored to their goals and callings

With a 48 credit hour curriculum that focuses on theology, spiritual formation, and practical leadership and ministry skills, the M.A. in Ministry has been designed to address your whole being as it relates to your passion for authentic ministry leadership and service.  Students experience amazing transformations in their knowledge and wisdom concerning scripture, their ability to invoke Christ-centered leadership, and in their personal relationships with the Lord as they progress through the program, and they will carry these transformations with them after graduation to positively impact their churches, communities, and families.

Holistic education provides the foundation for learning
Equal emphasis is placed upon thinking, being and doing because effective education changes one’s thinking, shapes one’s heart and guides one’s hand. Each person begins where they are, and the program provides catalysts to grow from that point onward. Therefore, holistic education provides the best foundation for life and ministry.

Integration and transformation form the cornerstone objectives
Integration means that after evaluating knowledge, students are able to own and internalize truth. This dynamic lies behind Scripture’s advice to “be transformed by the renewal of the mind.” (Romans 12:2) Transformed people lead and serve out of overflow from the renewed life that God offers. Spiritual gifts are identified and developed so that they can be submitted to God to be used for His purposes, our fulfillment and His glory.

Three pillars of learning
Students divide their studies equally between the curriculum areas of:

  • Spiritual Formation
  • Bible history and theology
  • Practical ministry and leadership skills.

Year-long Mentored Growth and Development Internship
Students in the program will complete a year-long five hour per week mentored growth and development internship. This enables students to work with mentors within a ministry of their calling and allows them hands-on practical experiences.

The degree can be taken in a residential format or in an online format
Courses for the residential format are taught via evening, weekend intensives and hybrid classes. The online program consists of synchronous and asynchronous learning and requires a week-long in person on campus kick-off experience.

Richmont Graduate University is founded on principles that adhere to National Association of Evangelicals Statement of Faith appearing below. This statement has been affirmed by more than seventy denominations and thus represents a broad evangelical consensus. All faculty members affirm this statement, and students who attend the Richmont will be taught from a Christian perspective.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whom the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe God’s redemptive purpose will be consumated by the return of Christ to raise the dead, judge all people and establish His glorious kingdom.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
