Students at Richmont Graduate University are evaluated
in three domains: Knowledge, Skills, and Dispositions. Knowledge includes the
content of the coursework. Skills includes, but is not limited to, clinical
skills, critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and professionalism. Dispositions
refers to those personal characteristics deemed critical to counseling. At
Richmont, the dispositions evaluated for each student are, Awareness and
Receptivity, Compassion, Integrity, and Resilience and Self-Regulation.
Each student is
evaluated in each of the three domains (Knowledge, Skills, and Dispositions)
every semester through the Student Performance and Dispositions Review process.
Student must demonstrate consistent mastery in each domain to be certified by
the faculty for graduation. Descriptions of the three domains, along with
operational examples are available upon request.
