Richmont Graduate University Celebrates “Richmont Day” at Grace and Purpose Church in Suwanee

Richmont Graduate University celebrated a special “Richmont Day” at Grace and Purpose Church in Suwanee, Georgia, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, bringing together Richmont alumni, faculty, staff, and church members for a meaningful day centered on faith, trauma-informed ministry, and Christ-centered education.

Richmont was warmly welcomed by Dr. Travis and Tina Hall, pastors of Grace and Purpose Church and graduates of Richmont’s School of Ministry. The Halls shared a moving testimony about their transformational experience at Richmont and the lasting impact their education continues to have on their lives, leadership, and ministry.

Dr. Travis Hall has also remained an important part of the Richmont community. At Richmont’s most recent commencement ceremony, he represented the School of Ministry and delivered an inspiring commencement message to graduates as they prepared to enter the next chapter of their calling and service.

During Richmont Day, Rev. Dr. Preston McDaniel Hill, Assistant Professor of Integrative Theology and Doctor of Ministry Program Director, delivered a powerful sermon, “Trauma & Faith,” exploring how faith communities can respond to trauma with theological depth, compassion, and practical care.

Representing Richmont at the event were Celina Noble of Admissions and Dr. Rochelle Mason, Director of Marketing & Communications. They shared how Richmont prepares individuals to pursue their God-given purpose when called to counseling or ministry while also equipping churches and ministry leaders to better serve their communities.

The visit reflects Richmont’s continued commitment to strengthening relationships with churches and creating meaningful connections between theological education, mental health counseling, and the needs of local communities.

“Days like this allow us to see the impact of a Richmont education come full circle,” said Dr. Mason. “We get to celebrate alumni who are actively serving their communities while also connecting churches with education and resources that can help them care for the people God has entrusted to them. We are incredibly grateful for Travis and Tina’s continued support of Richmont and the many ways they champion our mission and remain connected to the Richmont community.”
